Surprise surprise, parents in Ireland are paying double that of their European counterparts on childcare.
The Oireachtas Health Committee is looking at the cost of childcare after a recent survey found that parents need to earn 30 thousand euro a year just to cover two children.
The average cost is 700 euro per month per child, rising to 1,000 euro in cities.
