Ireland's seen its first fall in emigration for three years.

New CSO figures show emigration fell by 8 per cent last year - though one Irish person emigrates on average every 13 minutes.

A total of just under 30,000 Irish people left the country in the 12 months up to April 2014.

Edwina Shanahan from travel advice company VisaFirst.com says Irish emigrants are now making more informed decisions about whether to leave, and what country to go to:
