Iceland's raised its aviation code to red after a surge in seismic activity at the Bardarbunga volcano.

It indicates that there have now been eruptions at the site.

Thousands of small earthquakes have rattled the area over the past week.

However, the Chief Executive of the Irish Aviation Authority, Eamonn Brennan, says if the volcano erupts - it wont cause the same level of disruption as 2010.
