Ibrahim Halawa says he will go on hunger strike until he is allowed home.
The 19 year old from Firhouse has been in a Cairo jail since he was arrested in Egypt almost 2 years ago.
A letter written by Ibrahim has been smuggled out of prison and seen by the Irish Times.
In it he says every morning he wakes up to noises of torture knowing he can be next and will go on hunger strike until he is allowed home.
He adds where is the human right when he doesn't see the sun and is not allowed to hug his mother?
The teen was arrested in August 2013 for protesting in Cairo and has been in jail ever since.
He is due back in court again on August 2nd after seven delays to his trial.
