Around 700 new jobs by start up companies are earmarked for Dublin.
Enterprise Ireland says the 1500 positions will be created over the next three years.
The new firms are part of the High Potential Start-Up programme that supports export-based companies which are likely to earn annual sales of 1 million euro - and have at least ten employees within three years.
The businesses are split across a number of sectors including food, drinks, technology and engineering.
