A record number of people are expected to vote in the marriage equality and age of presidential candidates referendums this Friday.

If you're still not sure what way you're voting, you can read impartial information on both referendums at the Referendum Commission.

Plan where and when you'll vote. By now, a polling card should have been posted to your address. This will have the address of your polling station on it. If you have registered to vote, but have not yet recieved a polling card, phone your local council and they should be able to tell you where you're due to vote. You don't need to bring your polling card with you to vote, but if you have it you might as well bring it along.

Teams have been encouraging people to plan what time of day they're going to vote. Before the gym, after work or in between meetings. Some drivers are also offering free lifts to polling stations, using #VoterMotor on Twitter.

You'll need to bring some photo ID with you to vote. A passport or driving licence are probably your best best, but other forms of ID are also accepted, including a marraige cert - but not a civil partnership cert. If you're unsure if your ID is acceptable, contact your local council.

Polling stations are neutral, so you can't wear any badges, stickers, hats or other clothing or merchanside that gives away how you're voting. Just take them off before you get in there, and pop them back on after.

As tempted as you may be, do not take a selfie with your voting slip. Anyone caught taking a photo in the polling booth or close to the polling station could compromise the secrecy of the vote, and result in your vote being removed.

There are two referendums, so read each piece of paper carefully before casting your vote. The white slip is where you'll cast your vote for marriage equality, and the green slip for the age of presidential candidates. Or 'white for the wedding, and green for the park', if that's easier to remember.

Don't spoil your vote. All you need to do is place an 'X' in the appropriate box, and nothing more. No ticks, no smiley faces, no scribbles or other messages.

Remind others to vote, and help get them to their polling station if they need it. It's really important everyone uses their right to vote.

If you want 98FM to bring you to your polling station, you can tweet us and we'll have it arranged.
