An Auckland man faked an Irish accent when stopped by New Zealand police for putting his kayak on his roof the wrong way.
Officers issued a warning after the man was caught with his kayak on his car crossways.
Cops said the Irish tourist's actions were beyond belief and apologised when it was discovered that he was actually a kiwi.
