A High Court judge has accepted an invitation to visit buildings on Moore Street centreal to the Easter Rising.
The court's being asked to stop certain addresses being knocked down. The 1916 Relatives Association are trying to prevent certain parts of the street from being demolished.
Numbers 14 to 17 are national monuments but the group feels that the whole terrace should be protected. However, the Heritage Minister says there’s no evidence that these buildings were around 100 years ago.
Judge Max Barrett accepted an invitation to visit the site ahead of the full hearing next week. That’s due to start in the High Court on Tuesday and is expected to last four days.
This afternoon, "a show of solidarity" will be held on Moore Street, where people will hold an "Arms Around Moore Street" demonstration.
The group organising it says it's a family event, and has asked those planning to join them to "bring flags, Ireland or GAA Scarves".
