Almost ninety soldiers have returned home to Ireland following a six month tour of duty in Syria.
They landed at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnell just after 10 this morning where they were greeted by their families.
The 43rd Infantry group were the first Irish contingent to be deployed with the United Nations Disengagement Observers Force in the Golan Heights.
They provided protection for UN resupply convoys and were also involved in an operation to remove UN personnel from hostile situations.
