Dublin Airport opened for business 75 years ago today.
Today it offers services to Britain, America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with 14 new services announced for this year alone.
In the 1950's and 1960's the airport was a destination in its own right, as people travelled out to Collinstown to see the planes and to dine in its restaurant.
Guided tours of the airport were also popular.
Siobhán O'Donnell from the DAA says there will be musical entertainment from those days for anyone travelling through the airport today:
