Hailo are attempting to soften the blow for Dublin Bus users, who will be affected by a 48 hour stoppage from tomorrow.
Dublin Bus drivers are striking in a bid to achieve pay parity with Luas drivers, with services scheduled to finish at 9pm tonight.
Commuters are being encouraged to travel during off-peak times while bus services are down.
Hailo customers can avail of a 50% discount between 6-7am and 10am-12 noon. To receive the discount, passengers will have to use discount codes, which will be displayed in their official app on Thursday and Friday morning.
Data from recent Luas strikes shows that demand increased by as much as 25% from 7.30am - 9.30am on certain strike days, while journey durations went up 35% during peak times.
