Gardai have seized a gun, firearm components, ammunition and suspected stolen jewellery in a raid in Lucan.
A 35 year old man was arrested following the planned swoop on a premises at around half five yesterday evening.
The seizure came about as part of an ongoing operation targeting drug dealing in the north inner city.
The suspect is being held at Store Street garda station.
