The Prosecution in Graham Dwyer’s murder trial claims the Foxrock architect used his alleged victim to satisfy his sexual desire to stab a woman to death.
The 42-year-old architect from Kerrymount Close denies murdering Elaine O’Hara whose body was found in the Dublin Mountains in 2013.
On September 10th 2013, three fishermen found some of Elaine O’Hara’s belongings in a reservoir in Roundwood, Co. Wickiow.
By pure coincidence, a woman stumbled upon her decomposed remains while walking some dogs in the Dublin Mountains three days later.
She’d been missing for over a year.
This morning, the jurors were told her sexual preference was to be the submissive party in a relationship of dominance.
And the Prosecution alleges Graham Dwyer killed the 36-year-old childcare worker to satisfy his sexual desire to stab a woman to death.
Text messages between Elaine and an 083 number alleged to belong to Mr. Dwyer will be used as evidence in this trial.
One of them reads: “I want to stick my knife in flesh while I’m sexually aroused – blood turns me on and I’d like to stab a girl to death sometime”
CCTV footage and DNA evidence taken from Elaine’s mattress will also feature in a trial that’s expected to take up to eight weeks.
