Gardaí investigating the death of a taxi driver say he suffered a violent death.
It's understood 53-year-old Martin Mulligan was stabbed, just half an hour after starting his shift in the Dundalk area.
Officers say they haven't established a motive at this stage following the discovery of the body in the early hours of this morning at Kilcurry, county Louth.
However they say they are treating the violent death of taxi driver Martin Mulligan as suspicious.
His body was discovered near his silver/beige coloured Skoda Octavia at Carnmore, Kilcurry.
Superintendent Gerry Curley says Gardai will be asking Police in the North to help investigate.
