Gardai are looking for the public’s help following an armed cash in transit robbery in the west of the city.

Security staff were held up yesterday afternoon by two men, as they delivered cash to a Post Office on the La Touche Road in Bluebell. One of the men was armed with a gun. Staff were threatened and money was taken before before escaping in a grey Volkswagen Golf which was driven by a third man.

Gardai say the first raider is in his 20's and is around 5'7. He was wearing a hoody and a chequered scarf over his face. The second man was around 5’9, in his 20's and also had his face covered.

Gardai have already arrested a 19 year old man as part of the investigation. He was stopped in a car on Francis Road and was found with a sum of cash.
