Gardai are investigating the death of a woman in Dublin who'd been in a coma for almost a month.
Its thought the woman, who died yesterday, may have been the victim of an assault.
On the 25th of July the woman in her 50s was taken from her home on the Ballybough Road to Beaumont hospital.
She remained in a coma at the hospital for almost a month before passing away yesterday.
GardaI say her death is suspicious and one of the theories they are working on it is that she may have been attacked.
A post mortem will be carried out on her remains to determine the cause of death.
Gardai say their investigation is ongoing.
