Gardai are on the hunt for a man who robbed a cash-in-transit worker in Finglas.
It happened outside a pub on Church Street Sunday afternoon during a routine cash pick up.
It’s understood a security worker was approached at around lunchtime by a masked man who threatened him with some sort of blunt weapon.
The worker handed over the cash box and the raider then made his escape in a light blue car that was parked nearby.
Gardai have already spoken to the security officer who wasn’t injured during the robbery.
A technical examination has also taken place at the pub and Gardai are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the raid to come forward.
They’ve been told the getaway car left the scene in the direction of nearby Wellmount Road.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Finglas Garda Station directly or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
