Four Arrested In Dublin After Firearms Seized

Four people remain people in Garda custody this morning, after two loaded firearms were seized yesterday.

It was part of an operation targetting serious criminal activity in the Dublin area.

Gardai believe they foiled a shooting incident in the capital.

Three men and a woman were arrested yesterday after two two cars were stopped and searched on Monastery Gate Avenue in Clondalkin at around a quarter past 4.

Two loaded revolvers were found as part of the operation which is part of ongoing investigations by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau supported by the Special Crime Task Force, targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin Region.

A ballistic examination will be carried out on the guns.

The Three men aged 26, 28 and 29 and a 28 year-old woman who were arrested are currently being held at Clondalkin Garda Station.

Gardai believe they foiled an attempt at a shooting incident in the capital in the Hutch/Kinahan feud.
