Four men have been arrested in Dublin for trespassing and staying in the former home of an elderly couple who were evicted last month.

Violet and Martin Coyne were forced to leave their rented home in Carpenterstown following a long-running dispute with the bank appointed receiver who wants to sell the house.

Yesterday morning, four supporters of the couple got into the house and stayed there - but were arrested for trespassing and public order offences.

They've been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
