900 bales of straw are still smoldering after a fire at a disused factory in Carlow Town yesterday.
Fire engines have been tackling the blaze overnight, which broke out beside the GAA grounds, Dr Cullen Park.
It's believed the fire started at around half four in the afternoon - but shortly after 10 o'clock last night it had been contained to a single section.
