The City Manager says a review of Dublin's ambulance service has been suspended.

Patricia King has told hundreds gathered for a protest march that it'll only happen after a national review.

Around 200 members of Dublin Fire Brigade and their supporters are protesting a HSE plan at City Hall.

The march was lead by the Dublin Fire Brigade pipe band, and personnel from stations all over the city.

As things stand, Dublin Fire Brigade deals with almost half of call-outs.

SIPTU's Brendan O’Brien believes handing full control to the HSE would be a bad move for the people of Dublin.
