Fire Crews Battle Blaze In Carrickmines

Dublin Fire Brigade have been battling a blaze in Carrickmines.

The alarm was raised when a member of the public spotted black plumes of smoke rising into the sky near a derelict building.

Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade arrived at the scene at around 2.40pm.

Firefighters from Dun Laoghaire, Donnybrook and Tara Street stations managed to bring the blaze under control and there are no reports of any injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
