The extent of the damage caused by a fire at Gaiety Theatre yesterday evening will be assessed today.
The Dublin Fire Brigade was called to the landmark theatre on South King Street shortly before half past five.
The building was evacuated, while three engines and a turntable ladder were used to bring the fire under control.
Nobody was injured in the incident and the cause of the fire is not known.
However its believed to have started in the basement of the building.
