A farmer in Co. Mayo is planning to send a a bull to the slaughterhouse because he's gay.
Benjy was bought for breeding with female cows, but he's only shown interest in other bulls.
The Animal Rights Action Network is now trying to raise €6000 to save Benjy from slaughter.
ARAN says it wants to have him re-homed in an animal sanctuary in England.
"At first I didn't take seriously that the bull could be gay but after seeking advice I know this can happen,” the anonymous Mayo farmer said.
A Crowd Funding page to help re-home Benjy in the Hillside Animal Sanctuary has been set up, and donations can be made here.
