A jury has heard that a man accused of murdering a father of two in Dublin asked his friend if he had a hacksaw to help dispose of the body.

Alan Harte of Claireville Grove, Glasnevin, denies murdering 28-year-old Peter Gunn at a flat in Cabra Park five years ago.

Peter Gunn's body was found in a ditch behind Dublin airport 11 days after he was stabbed to death on Jan 4th 2009.

Today, the jurors have been hearing from an Albanian man who was jailed for cleaning the crime scene and helping to dispose the body.

After going back to his place for some drinks, Kastriot Boza claims Alan Harte stabbed Peter in the chest with what he described as a butcher's knife.

Mr. Boza said he then helped carry the body into the back of a friend's car on the pretence that Peter had passed out after drinking too much.

After dumping the body, they returned to the flat and cleaned the scene.

To the horror of some of the victim's family members in court today, Mr. Boza said the accused asked him if he had a hacksaw to cut up the body.

The jury of six men and six women are due to resume hearing evidence tomorrow.
