An exit poll shows the Green Party is set to top the European election poll in Dublin.

The Red C poll for RTÉ / TG4 of more than 3,000 voters across the country was released after polls closed at 10pm.

It shows the Green's Ciaran Cuffe comfortably topping the poll in the Dublin constituency at 23%.

The poll has Frances Fitzgerald (Fine Gael) on 14%, and both Fianna Fáil's Barry Andrews and Independents 4 Change's Clare Daly on 12%.

The poll - which has a margin of error of 4% - also suggests the divorce referendum will pass comfortably, with 87% support.
