Senior members of the International Red Cross are in Dublin today to discuss flooding.
They'll meet with Government officials, IT experts and business leaders to talk about technology that can be used to reduce the risk to the public in the event of flooding due to climate change.
The charity says investing in the technology - which it hopes will become widespread within the next decade - will prove cost-effective in the long run.
It's hoped the technology will be piloted in Dublin, Cork, San Francisco, Nairobi, Seoul and Buenos Aires.
