A Dublin-based taxi driver has been jailed for five years for sexually assaulting three young female passengers.

Mansoor Uddin of Castleway, Adamstown, Lucan admitted carrying out the attacks over two-weeks in early 2016.

His taxi licence was revoked after he pleaded guilty to the charges three months ago.

In arriving at her sentence today, the judge said she considered the vulnerability of the women and the element of planned targeting involved.

She also referred to the fact that he refused to stop the taxi when asked and carried out the attacks in places where he knew help was not at hand.
