EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin's docklands has been voted Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction at the World Travel Awards.

It's the third year running the museum has taken the prize, beating off the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace and The Roman Colosseum.

The attraction tells the stories of those who emigrated from Ireland and how they influenced and shaped the world.

Patrick Greene, CEO and Museum Director of EPIC, commented on the win; “We are very proud to accept the title of Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction for the third year in a row. It is testament to the resilience, creativity and commitment of all our staff to providing a world class experience."

Catherine Martin, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, congratulated EPIC on the win, saying; Their commitment to providing quality educational events, to hosting exhibitions uncovering lesser known stories of the Irish Diaspora and to giving visitors a world class experience lies at the heart of their win.”
