Staff at Dublin Fire Brigade are taking action over what they say is critically low staffing levels.
SIPTU members at the company will begin a work-to-rule from the first Monday in October. The union says there is currently not enough staff "to provide safe systems of work its members".
SIPTU's Gerry Harris said "At present DFB cannot provide a full service to the public without the use of unsustainable levels of overtime and the cancellation of safety critical firefighter training."
SIPTU members at Dublin Fire Brigade have voted for industrial action, up to and including strike action in a ballot.
