A team at Dublin Fire Brigade had an emergency of a different kind on Wednesday morning.
Three officers from the Tallaght unit helped deliver a baby boy, who couldn't wait for an ambulance to arrive.
John, Martin and Tom have been suggested as names, after the men that helped deliver the baby.
Firefigher and Paramedic John Walsh told 98FM that it was a "great morning", adding that the mother "was fantastic, very calm and obviously thrilled. There was a big screech from baby as soon as he arrived so that allayed any nerves."
"It's very good to be involved in the happy times of our job. Due to the nature of it, they're very few and far between", he added.
