Oscar winning Dublin director Lenny Abrahamson says he hopes abusers everywhere "are quaking in their boots" following the Harvey Weinstein alleged rape and harassment scandal.

The boss of Amazon Studios has been suspended after claims he 'ignored' allegations Weinstein raped actress Rose McGowan when she was younger.

Roy Price is also facing a separate harassment claim himself, while Weinstein denies the claims.

There's been a string of allegations made against the Hollywood producer after a New York Times and New Yorker investigation.

Director of Room and Adam and Paul, Lenny Abrahamson, says there are people like Weinstein everywhere.

Meanwhile Emma Thompson has joined the list of celebrities to condemn Weinstein. She's told BBC Newsnight we need to tackle the "crisis of extreme masculinity" embodied by the likes of Donald Trump.
