Where students live can determine if they go to college.

A study by the Higher Education Authority highlights the social divide when it comes to address.

The notion of access to education for all doesn't ring true in today's statistics.

Practically all school leavers who live in Dublin 6 go to college compared to only 15 percent of young people in Dublin 17.

Most students in Dublin 4 and Dublin 16 get a third level place but at the other end of the scale Dublin 10 has just a 16 percent participation rate.

When it comes to background farmers kids, children of self employed, and the higher professional classes are likely to attend college.
