Donnybrook Fair has been acquired by SuperValu and Centra owner Musgrave.
The upmarket food chain currently has four stores in Dublin - Donnybrook, Stillorgan, Malahide and Baggot Street - as well as one in Greystones.
The acquisition - which is subject to approval by competition authorities - includes all five stores, alongside a 'gourmet food' production facility.
Musgrave CEO Chris Martin called it a 'fantastic addition' to his company, saying it'll increase their presence in the Dublin food market.
He said they intend to "maintain and grow the brand for the long term".
Joe Doyle, owner of Donnybrook Fair, added: “We established Donnybrook Fair as a brand devoted to bringing great food experiences to people.
"Musgrave is as passionate as we are about the heritage and future of Irish food."
Donnybrook Fair currently employs 250 people, and Mr Doyle is set to stay on following the acquisition.
