A new housing complex on the grounds of a Meath secondary school is trying to attract students at a north side college, 30 kilometres away.
One hundred rooms located beside Gormanston College near Balbriggan are being marketed to DCU students, despite the distance to the university and no direct transport route to the college.
It comes amid grown concern that students will not find suitable places to live due to the chronic housing shortage in Dublin.
DCU students unions says it wants to give students as many options as possible to ensure they have a place to live.
