A suspicious device found under the DART line in the city centre this afternoon was a hoax, the Garda Press Office has told 98FM News.
It lead to all trains being suspended between Pearse and Connolly Stations earlier, and also forced the closure of a number of nearby streets.
Traffic was kept off Townsend Street, Tara Street and Luke Street until just before 5PM.
Irish Rail says it's now running a full service, but is warning people heading home during rush hour to expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
