The Dublin Airport Authority has denied reports of a massive new 'airport city' within the next fifteen years.

According to The Herald, there was speculation that the DAA was looking to develop a one billion euro 'airport city' on a 70 acre site.

A DAA source has said the plans are still in the works, but on a smaller scale. The plan is for a business park, rather than a larger project.

The source also added that the numbers have been exaggerated, and the project will take 25 to 30 years rather than 15.
