A Fine Gael TD has hit out at new rules regarding the insurance of older cars.
Two insurance companies - Aviva and Allianz - are now refusing to give cover to a car that is more than 15 years old.
But TD for Kerry Brendan Griffin says that many old cars are still very safe.
He also says that many people can't afford to buy newer models that insurers will cover.
