Missing child alerts in Ireland will be featuring in our Facebook feeds.
Gardai are liaising with the social network for information on Child Rescue Ireland, or CRI alerts to feature for Irish users.
The Sunday Times reports that the initiative, to be launched later this year, will see the alerts feature as the second item in our news feeds.
Similar schemes already operate in America and Canada.
