A book of evidence is due to be served today on an Italian man accused of murdering his landlord in Castleknock.

Tom O'Gorman was found dead in his house at Beech Park Avenue, Castleknock three months ago.

The researcher and former journalist was beaten and stabbed to death in the early hours of January 12th.

Saverio Bellante, who's originally from Palermo and rented a room at his house, was brought to court the following day charged with his murder.

The 34-year-old was admitted to the Central Mental Hospital and has been unable to attend several court appearances since.

He's due to be presented with a book of evidence later today.

Once that's been done, the matter will then be sent forward to the Central Criminal Court.
