Coronavirus: 15 More Deaths And 139 New Cases In Republic

A further 15 COVID-19 patients have died in the Republic.

There are also 139 new confirmed cases, according to the latest figures from the Department of Health.

It brings the total number of cases here to 23,135, and the death toll from the virus in the Republic to 1,467.

As of Saturday night, 13% of all coronavirus cases here to date had been admitted to hospital.

A total of 385 people have been admitted to intensive care units since the outbreak began, with 71 remaining in ICUs - including two new admissions in the last 24 hours.

5,779 of the cases to date have been associated with residential care facilities.
