The need to be constantly available on social media can cause teens to be depressed and anxious.

Researchers say the need to stay connected - as well as checking social media apps at night - can pose a serious health risk for young people.

Dr Heather Cleland Woods from the University of Glasgow led the research - and says teens who are "highly emotionally invested" in their online lives appear to be the most-affected.
