Conditions for travellers in Ireland need to improve dramatically - according to Pavee Point.
The call comes after Sinn Fein launched a Private Members Motion appealing for more rights for travellers.
They include being recognised as an ethnic group and a right to better accomodation.
Co-Director of Pavee Point Martin Collins says local authorities have been of little help to travellers.
