There’s concern that a sports hall in Inchicore could close in the summer.

Funding to keep the doors open could run out in June if a bureaucratic hiccup isn’t resolved.

Lauren Flynn is with Dublin Roller Derby, one of the clubs who use the Inchicore Community Sports Centre.

They were told that the centre could close it’s doors to sporting and community groups if funding isn’t given the green light by the Department of Social Protection.

Lauren says they’ll fight to keep it open.

However, there could be good news on the horizon, local TD Aengus O’Snodaigh says the issues came about because of a bureaucratic hiccup.

Local groups are holding a meeting on the matter on April 15th.
