It's reported a fugitive, on the run from a Dublin prison, is wanted by Gardai in connection with a violent sexual assault in the south inner city.
Gardai have confirmed they're investigating an alleged sexual assault in the Cork Street area.
It's reported the violent attack happened at an apartment at around 11pm, where the victim was threatened at knifepoint.
According to The Herald, detectives searching for a man who escaped from Cloverhill Prison last week now want to question him about the case.
He fled the district court located beside the Clondalkin jail ahead of a court appearance, and searches to track him down are continuing.
