Closing speeches have been heard in the trial of a Swords man accused of the tiger kidnapping of a postal worker's family.
35 year old Jonathan Gill of Malahide Road denies the false imprisonment of the couple and their new born baby and of robbing over 600 thousand euro.
Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard in August 2011, a man opened his front foot and two men were outside.
A pizza box was thrown at him and he was knocked to the ground. He was tied up along with his partner and guns were pointed at them. The woman and her ten week old baby were then placed in a car while the man was put into the boot and they were driven for around 90 minutes. The baby was screaming and was eventually given milk.
The woman and baby were then held hostage while the man was forced to go to the post office where he worked and take over 600 thousand euro.
In his closing speech the Prosecution barrister said the case against Jonathon Gill is circumstantial but the evidence can be pulled and twisted together. A car linked to him was seen in the area. He was also captured on CCTV buying a carton of milk in a garage at around 5.30am, even though there were five others closer to his house.
While the Defence barrister said there is no forensic link between the accused and the locations involved. He said - the woman held hostage - described two of the raiders as being dark skinned and the accused is white.
