Clontarf residents want to stop the construction of a flood defense wall opposite Bull Island because they think its too high.

It's being built by Dublin City Council as part of a €5M cycle path from the Wooden Bridge to Causeway Road.

Locals say the new wall isn't meant to be higher than an existing stone one but appears to be considerable taller in sections along the coast.

People are concerned because they can't see over the wall.
