Protestors  taking part in a climate change demonstration on O’Connell Bridge say they will disrupt traffic for as long as they’re allowed to.

It’s being organised by Extinction Rebellion, who say it’s to send a message to Governments worldwide that action on climate change is critically needed.

Protestors will block lanes of traffic from crossing O’Connell Bridge.

Organisers say they are sympathetic to people who will be impacted, but added that it is necessary to send a message.

Extinction Rebellion says they will protest until the Government agrees to their demands or until they are removed by  the Gardai.
