City Councillors have met with the Environment Minister to talk about the homeless crisis.

Alan Kelly has blamed them for slow progress, but he's being accused of leaving services short of cash.

The all-party delegation, lead by Lord Mayor Criona Ni Dhalaigh, spoke to the Minister in Leinster House this afternoon.

Today’s meeting comes on the back of a blame game between councillors and the Environment Minister over the ongoing homeless crisis.

Alan Kelly blamed the council for a lack of progress in dealing with the issue while councillors say the Minister’s department has left them with an 18.5 million Euro shortfall for services.

The all-party group arrived at Leinster House lead by the lord Mayor Criona Ni Dhalaigh, to get some answers from the Minister and to get solutions.

The meeting comes as Gardai continue to investigate the death of a man, believed to be homeless, while trying to get into a boarded up house in Clondalkin.
