A ‘scathing’ report into racism in Ireland finds that children are spitting and throwing things at people of African descent, with the support of their parents.
A study by the European Network Against Racism in Ireland examined 189 racist incidents and found that assault and harassment continues in public places like shopping centres, on the street, or on public transport.
It also finds common discrimination reported against public institutions, with Irish citizens of African descent being either refused any service or given a poor response.
